In the early 1900's Jewellers were experiencing difficulties, and delay's due to the sizing of ring's, as there was a rapid growth in the jewellery making industry.

In 1920 Joseph Pepper of no.3 Vyse Street Birmingham, saw there was a need to develope a sizing standard in the manufacture of rings.

The Trademark Wheatsheaf was developed and founded by Joseph Pepper in 1920 to maintain an accurate scale of measurement to the whole of the jewellery making trade. The Wheatsheaf scale of measurement swept across the whole of the uk, to eliminate wasted time and material's in everyday production of ring's and their size's.

In 1992 Wheatsheaf saw a need to expand it's tool range to include ISO, USA and European standards. This enabled jeweller's to have compleate confidence to compete in the ever growing international market.

To this day all Wheatsheaf jewellery making tools are made to a very high quality and are checked by hand to maintain the original high standard of accuracy. This now range's from the UK to the world wide web and is still the only GUARANTED way of accurate ring sizing.
